The Shattered Throne dungeon has two bosses that, like many Destiny 2bosses, are locked behind specific requirements before they can be beaten. Until then, they're both immune to damage. Additionally, they're surrounded by other enemies, making their fights even more challenging for Guardians.

The Shattered Throne dungeon in Destiny 2 is full of Taken enemies. Between the Hobgoblins and Thralls in nearly every encounter, completing this dungeon easily can become overwhelming. Some great weapons to bring for this dungeon are Sniper Rifles and Pulse Rifles, and, thankfully, the Destiny 2 Season of the Lost weapons provide a few options for each. Scout Rifles and Grenade Launchers with Blind Grenades are great choices, as well as Supers that can clear out hordes of weaker enemies.

The first boss in the Destiny 2 Shattered Throne dungeon is called Vorgeth, The Boundless Hunger. This is a Taken Ogre that, on top of normal Destiny 2Ogre attacks, is guarded by four Taken Wizards and multiple Goblins. The Boundless Hunger has the ability to send a black orb that slowly follows Guardians. It's a powerful attack and will likely one-shot anyone it hits. The Taken Wizards have to be defeated before Vorgeth can be beaten. Fortunately, the new Ascendancy Rocket Launcher will make quick work of the Wizards. After killing one of these Wizards, an orb will drop that grants the whole Fireteam the Petitioner's Mark debuff.

How to Beat the Shattered Throne Bosses in Destiny 2

A timer will count down next to the Petitioner's Mark, and, when it reaches zero, the team dies. Anyone who dies beforehand will also lose the debuff. Once the four wizards have been defeated, anyone who has been alive long enough will have the Petitioner's Burden buff. Players should plan to send one of the teammates who have the new buff to one of the glowing structures. Interacting with the structure will slam the orbs down, allowing Vorgeth to take damage. Typically, he can be beaten in one damage phase, but, if too much time passes, the damage phase will have to be set up again. Once Vorgeth is defeated, a powerful piece of reissuedDestiny 2 Dreaming City gear will be awarded.

The final boss of the Shattered Throne dungeon in Destiny 2 is Dûl Incaru, The Eternal Return. She'll be accompanied by three massive Ascendant Hive Knights and Taken Psions. After each Knight is defeated, an orb that powers up the Fireteam will spawn and let them damage Dûl Incaru. She can be defeated in one stage here as well, but only if all three Knights are defeated at the same time. Each buff that the Knights award increases the damage multiplier, making it easier to defeat Dûl Incaru. If she isn't defeated, Dûl Incaru will create a crystal that needs to be destroyed, or the team will wipe. Teams will need to defeat the Knights again to set up the damage multiplier. Another piece of Dreaming City gear will be awarded once Dûl Incaru, daughter ofDestiny 2'sWitch Queen, is defeated.
